Me??? A "Molly Mormom"???

Normally my posts are all about my girls and are loaded with pictures...not today! Recently Jay & I have been really working on our food storage (72 Kit-not done with, 3 mon-I have about 2 -3 mon, 1 year-where the heck am I suppose to put that???) In the food storage, our church has told us that wheat is to also be included. I have never known what to do with wheat...it has always been a foreign thing to me. I remember as a kid when my parents had their food storage, that the wheat got tossed out with the things that never got used. I really have been wanting to use wheat and learn what I can with it, so I started the research...I can sometimes become like my moma with research, and get carried away :0) I have now discovered that I love wheat!!! My wonderful husband has even goten me a Wonder Mill wheat grinder...I got it yesterday and I can't wait to get my wheat to grind! I have converted a lot of my recipes and found a lot of new ones. I have started making my own bread (and cereal...I don't know how it will turn out, it's in the oven:0) I took the recipe from someone at my church and made it my own...those of you who know me know that I don't bake...but I have discovered I love to bake :0)
Who would have thought that I would have become a "Molly Mormon"...go figure ;0)
PS I'll post the bread recipe with the cereal later...the kids are driving me crazy :0)

Who wants to play???

Who else wants to play? No pressure. The first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (Might be a little while).
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right?

A funny blog I want to pass along...

A friend of mine posted a blog that he said was "Pure Hilarity", so I checked it out and sure enough, it is! It's called "My Religious Blog: The Substandard Works of a Utah Mormon" If you want a good laugh, check it out :0)

Finally updated!!!!

Ok, so to say that I've been out of the blogging world for a little while might be a bit of an understatement!!! But I have finally put up everything I have missed (it took about 2.5 hours...ugh) There are a lot of pictures and I didn't really have time to journalize everything, but the pictures speak for themselves. Hopefully I won't get so far behind again....yeah right!
PS..there were so many posts, that you will have to go OLDER POST at the bottom to see the rest :0)

New Year's Eve

We went to Kim & Rafael's for New Year's Eve and had a blast! When midnight usually approachs, I feel tired...but this year, we were having so much fun that time flew for me!

There goes my little Energizer bunny...she just keeps going and going, unlike her sister and cousin! She tried to wake them up, but they didn't like that too much :0)

Christmas Morning

As the girls are getting older, Christmas morning is getting better. I love to see them open a present and the pure joy that comes across their faces... Of course, as Evie is opening her presents, she is having to put them on! Elaina loved tearing anything open!

Christmas Eve

We split up our Christmas Eve (as always) and I didn't get any pictures from the Phipps Christmas Eve...:0(
But here are plenty from Stacy's house! My grandfather, Elsy and Michelle from Miami and my grandmother from Panama were here with us this year for Christmas, which was great!

Our Christmas Tree and Evie showing off her new Chrsitmas pajamas (this tradition came from Cathy, she would give her kids new pajamas for Christmas on Christmas Eve, so that they would all look good for Christmas morning pictures...so we now do the same thing)

We have 2 beautiful girls, Evie & Elaina. We love to travel, watch movies and be together as a family. We are Latter-Day Saints (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), which is a HUGE part of who we are. Our religion helps defines us and what we do each day.
